several years ago I installed a 24 to 12 volt ballast like voltage reducer in my 48 volt club car. It worked fine. Last week I had the batteries replaced and the idiot that installed them hooked the voltage reducer up to 32 volts. The first thing that happened is that it fried my headlights (but not my tail lights). Those and a horn are all that is hooked up that require 12 volts. When I corrected the hook-up (to 24 volts) the line voltage was 19.2 volts instead of 12-12.5. Question is, is my voltage reducer fried? If so, How many 12 V AMPs do the 4 lights and a horn require?
